Black-Bottom Coffee Milkshake

 

Ingredients: (serves 6)

3/4 cup chocolate syrup or 2 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate, melted with 1/2 teaspoon butter

1 quart vanilla ice cream

1 1/2 Cups milk

1 tablespoon instant coffee

Divide ice cream among 6 chilled 8 or 10 oz glasses; stir to soften slightly.

Heat to just below boiling the chocolate syrup, milk and instant coffee, and pour over the ice cream.

Top with unsweetened chocolate shavings
